“Cuartito Criminal” is part of the Gloria Genet Project that also include the staging of the play “Santa Jaula”. Both gestated in the La Potosí Scenic Studio.

Some of the questions that drive us to create:

Has the theater been a declared enemy for Jean Genet? How to make evil triumph on the stage? How to sanctify it in the dramaturgy? How to bring the theater within the theater? How to make Genet body now? Acting. In May 2017 we began a practical-theoretical investigation through a training and study process in which we quoted, in readings and stage work, the poetic universe of the author Jean Genet. In a sense, we could admit a certain dose of classicism in the searches, approaches, decisions. We added a key question for the development of training with Genet in mind: What is Acting? A question that served as an impetus for improvisation and writing scenes for the creation of two plays. With the still latent idea of ​​completing a trilogy.
